What and why Compello?IntegrationsProducts

1.

Electronic workflow enables you to transfer documents between users with different tasks. You can either do this manually or automatically and define whether documents are to be available to one user at a time or to many users simultaneously. Workflow means that the documents are in the right place at the right time.

2.

Invoices and other documents are available to users as soon as you have sent them. You can either distribute them manually or define rules in the system which distribute the documents automatically in accordance with the information which has been registered for them.

3.

OCR stands for Optical Character Recognition. The OCR function can read information from a document (e.g. an amount, invoice number or supplier) and place it in the correct registration fields. This saves a lot of tedious and time-consuming data entry for the accounts department.

5.

Electronic data capture covers all the functionality that enters all the data you need in your system. There are three main areas of relevance to Compello: scanning, where paper documents are made available as an electronic image, the import of electronic documents, e.g. XML files and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) which reads data from a file (scanned or electronic) and registers the data so that they can be edited and/or exported.

That depends on the laws that govern financial documents in your country. In many cases, you can destroy/shred paper documents earlier if they are archived electronically. In some countries, you can also destroy/shred them immediately. Remember that an electronic archive is easier to back-up than a hard copy archive, and it takes up much less space.

Yes. You can. Although Compello has primarily been developed for financial documents, there is nothing to stop you from scanning in post, contracts and other documents and using all the advantages of Compello's workflow functions and electronic archiving.
Many of the registration fields in Compello can be configured, so that you can easily adapt them to other applications.
